Thursday, September 22 - 25

10:00 - 5:00 daily

Come enjoy our 4 day event intended to supercharge your boating lifestyle.

From your first steps of learning to handle a boat through purchasing your dream boat, Granville Island is Vancouver's centre for all things marine.

Step aboard new Catalina, Bavaria and Dufour sailing yachts. We'll have a good selection of pre-owned power and sailing yachts for sale and sail as well as select charter and club boats from Cooper Boating and the JIB SET sailing club

New to boating? Come on down and lets chat about getting you out on the water. Cooper Boating offers a full selection of courses from the basics like getting your boat operator's card to cruise and learns and offshore sailing courses for the more adventuresome.

Stepping up your game? Let's start planning your journey of a lifetime - Alaska next spring - circumnavigate Vancouver Island next June - attend one of our 'journey of a lifetime' seminars to start planning your big adventure.

For those with a serious sailing addiction and no boat, the JIB SET sailing club is the best value for sailing in town and a great way to meet some really fantastic people who share your addiction.

Enjoy a series of seminars conducted, with admission being your non-perishable food or cash donation to the Vancouver Food Bank.  The seminar topics include:

Stepping Stones to the Boating Lifestyle

Boat Buying Basics

Up close and personal with your marine head

When you’re working hard your boat should too (introduction to charter ownership)

MARINE ELECTRICAL 101

and more!!!

The seminars will be held at the participants’ spaces on Mast Tower Road – a detailed schedule will be available shortly, but suffice to say we’ll have interesting topics daily.

We look forward to seeing you - hot dogs courtesy of Yacht Sales West, refreshments courtesy of Cooper Boating and Bosuns Yacht Sales and cupcakes courtesy of JIB SET sailing club.

Subject: Free house with your boat slip!
(Posted on Aug 20, 2011 at 01:26PM ) Tags:
Well, this one says it all.  Buy a boat slip for $499K and they will throw in a house.  We all know that priority is given to the boating part of life.  The Okanagan is not much better for slips than the lower mainland and for people on Lake Okanagan wanting to skip the waiting lists for boat slips, they can get one here and as a special treat, the developer will give them a free house nearby their prized new slip.  Way to go!

We are planning the 2012 charter fleet and can accommodate a few new vessels in the program at our three locations - Sidney, Powell River and Vancouver.  We cannot, unfortunately, offer a house with your new slip!

Welcome back False Creek Fuel Dock.  The arrival of False Creek Fuels marks the end of a difficult period for charters and boating in and around Vancouver.  We've been toting around fuel and working hard around the problem of no fuel dock in False Creek.  Now, we have a shiny revamped facility for fueling right back where the previous operator closed up a few years back - at the south side of the Burrard Street Bridge.  Charter clients from Granville Island will find this very convenient - charter operators can get a few extra moments of shut eye with the resulting convenience of this facility.  A warm welcome to FALSE CREEK FUELS!

ACappella launch party today.  This boat is a monster with 4 double cabins and a massive cockpit.  She is currently at Granville Island and will be en route for charters in Powell River July 3rd 2011. The Bavaria 45 Cruiser is the largest new generation Bavaria available for Bareboat Charters in all over B.C. Lower mainland Canada. The champagne hit the bow today and everyone enjoyed the great food and fun of the ACappella launch event. Fair winds and calm seas ACappella. A Congrats goes out to Sheldon, Grace and Family.

Today in front of Canada Place the rescue helicopters were giving a show and while thousands of people crowded the shore of the new convention centre and shoreline, the view from the water was spectacular.  Boat charters allow a vantage point that others just don't get!

We can help you book charters in Vancouver and enjoy this fascinating harbour and points well beyond.  British Columbia is the best place on earth and you can start exploring BC by boat by contacting Cooper

Willkommen  "ACappella"  !!

After much  anticipation, our *NEW* 2011 Bavaria 45 has  arrived at our Vancouver

those warm Desolation Sound waters (22-26 degrees Celsius in the summer)!

This lovely lady is booked up for much of the summer already, but still has some time in August
