our RUNABOUT/RIB* program is for small boats with outboard engines** and the goal is to have you comfortably operating one of these by the end of an entire weekend of instruction

there's no prior experience required for this program, but a sense of humour is essential as folks usually experience quite the 'grin factor'

WHY?

the boats are great, the classoom is at the uber-cool granville island, the instructors are the best and the experience of taking these programs launches a whole new way to explore the world by water - there is no substitute for hands on training to get you there

** WARNINGS **

people have been known to have their hair (what's left of it in some cases) look quite unique after experiencing 45mph + out on English Bay - you might wear a hat, but we recommend you tie it on

if you can't handle the coaster at the fair, don't do this one - if you love adventure and your heart skips a beat at the sight of a fast car, don't miss this one

GETTING DOWN TO DETAILS

we're going to work on docking, safety and all the bits the government would like you to know for the PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR CARD

the format runs a combination of ashore sessions in the classroom and boat time across a FRIDAY (6:30 - 9:30 pm) and ALL DAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY (9am to 5pm)

our objective is to get you prepared for and through the PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR CARD testing as well as the CANADIAN YACHTING ASSOCIATION'S BASIC POWER CERTIFICATION or INTERNATIONAL YACHT TRAINING'S SMALL POWERBOAT & RIB MASTER program (dual certification options available - contact our office)
